Meet laura the HEART behind Avafina Organics

Born in Argentina, Laura Cuñer DuBois is a socially conscious, self-made entrepreneur and the founder of Avafina Organics. A pioneer in the organic industry, Laura’s early vision to bring organic products into mainstream, has now become a reality. Under Laura’s leadership, Avafina Organics has grown to become a leading supplier of organic ingredients and an innovative manufacturer of organic plant based spreads like Chiaviar, "The Vegan's Caviar", Queen Cream Cheese, and Qummus.

Laura has dedicated her life to working with organic farmers, and being part of the food chain at all levels. Laura is passionate about organic agriculture, its effects on the environment as well as our own personal health. Laura’s goal is to inspire people to live a healthier lifestyle by spreading awareness on the benefits of an organic, plant based lifestyle.

Laura holds a Bachelors degree in International Business and Economics from UADE, (Universidad Argentina de la Empresa), as well as continuous studies in several areas at New York University, Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, Optimum Health Institute and Cornell University.

Laura was introduced to raw plant based foods in 2005 at Optimum Health Institute of San Diego. After a food awakening around the transformational power of raw foods, Laura was forever changed. She started experimenting with different recipes, making seed cheeses, dehydrating vegetables and fermenting nuts. Laura immediately recognized the benefits of incorporating more "alive" foods into her life and wanted to share these products with everyone. Her experiments led her to the creation and development of what is today, our line of organic plant based spreads, Chiaviar, The Vegan's Caviar, and Queen Cheeses. Made with simple, wholesome ingredients, our spreads will nourish your body as Mother Nature intended. They are made with plant based organic ingredients, containing no preservatives, additives, or anything processed or artificial. Like we like to say, "no funky ingredients", just pure organic, plant based goodness.
